Pakistani actor Tariq Malik, famous for playing the character of Murad in Guest House has passed away from cardiac arrest in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
A week ago, he also tested positive for COVID-19 and was reportedly diagnosed for typhoid as well.
He was a prominent television, radio, stage, and film artist and gained popularity for appearing in the 1991 iconic sitcom Guest House which presented difficulties faced by travelers in a lighthearted manner.
Tariq Malik’s association with Radio Pakistan also earned him the name of Bawa Ji from the program Jamoor Ni Awaz.
His co-star Afzal Khan, who played the role of sweeper Rambo, expressed deep sorrow at his death and called him a man with kind heart and impressive nature.
