Even if you don’t follow the Pakistani showbiz scene that extensively, chances are you do know of a few legends who personify Lollywood. And when we speak of legends, we can recall the evergreen actress Resham, a veteran of the industry.
Turns out Resham has huge plans for next year. And here’s what she’s being up to.
Legendary Actress
Resham is a Pakistani celebrity powerhouse. She remains one of the highest paid Pakistani actresses up to date.
She made her film debut in 1995 with Jeeva and has led Lollywood with her show-stopping charisma throughout the entirety of the 90’s.
Her most revered films include the likes of Ghunghat (1996), Dupatta Jal Raha Hai (1998), Pal Do Pal (1999), and Swaarangi (2015)
Accolades
The actress has enjoyed much success in Lollywood, with multiple awards under her belt. She was awarded The National Award for best actress for her film Sangam. She also bagged Nigar’s Best Actress award for her film Jannat Ki Talash
She has also been a part of Pakistani TV, and earned a nomination at the 7th Lux Style awards for her role as Zainab in Man-o-Salwa
Marriage History
Resham’s attachment to marriage has certainly been well documented. In 2013, the actress declared she was in no rush to tie the knot and the media should not fan the flames on any marriage rumors that afloat.
But in 2014, Resham at last found her knight in shining armor. She ended up proposing to Mehmood Bhatti. A Pakistani French fashion designer. Unfortunately, Mehmood Bhatti struck down the proposal by Resham.
He admitted it was a one sided proposal as he had no plans to marry Resham.
In 2018, Resham revealed plans to marry an unidentified businessman from Europe. With intentions to settle abroad. Perhaps, the 2020 marriage news is connected to the same mystery man.
Tying the knot?
Resham is currently 51. She has finally decided that the time is right for her to choose her Mr. Right. For Resham, finding the right man, who can keep up with her energetic outlook on life, must have been quite something. We’re just glad that she is taking the plunge, better late than never.
It is conventional wisdom that marriage requires a lifelong commitment to stability, with both partners working end to end to make matters meet. Perhaps Resham has found someone who is worthy of her love and commitment.
The actress has confirmed one thing though. She is going to be tying the knot in 2020. Guess we will have to wait and see who the lucky man is.
