Actor Jonathan Majors is facing renewed scrutiny after Rolling Stone released an alleged audio recording on March 17, 2025, in which he appears to admit to assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

The 28-second clip reportedly captures Majors confessing to strangling Jabbari and pushing her against a car during a September 2022 altercation. In the recording, Majors allegedly says, “I’m ashamed I’ve ever… I’ve never aggressed a woman before — I aggressed you.” Jabbari responds, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car,” to which Majors reportedly replies, “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed.’”

The recording is said to have been made after a prolonged fight between the former couple while they were living together in London. This revelation adds to Majors’ already troubled history with Jabbari, who accused him of domestic violence in a separate incident in New York in March 2023.

Jonathan Majors was arrested following the New York incident and, in December 2023, was convicted on two misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment. During court proceedings, Jabbari testified that Majors exhibited “rage and aggression” throughout their relationship. Evidence presented included text messages in which Majors allegedly admitted to physical violence and threatened self-harm if Jabbari sought medical attention.

The leaked audio is critical for Majors, as his upcoming film Magazine Dreams is set for release. The film’s initial December 2023 premiere was canceled due to the actor’s legal troubles, and the resurfacing of these allegations could further impact its reception.

Neither Majors nor Jabbari’s representatives have commented on the leaked recording.

The controversy has reignited public debate over Majors’ behavior and accountability, with many questioning the actor’s future in Hollywood amid his ongoing legal and personal challenges.
