Recently Pakistani film distributor IMGC announced that they’re getting into Pakistan’s production game. Now Chhalawa director Wajahat Rauf has announced he’s collaborating on one of their projects.
IMGC aims to release five films next year. Now we know Wajahat will helm one of them.
Previously the Karachi Se Lahore director collaborated with IMGC for the web series Enaaya. Enaaya cast Mehwish Hayat as the lead with Asad Siddiqui, Azfar Rehman, and Rabab Hashim.

This time he jumped on another venture with IMGC and his own company Showcase Films. While Wajahat Rauf wasn’t willing to spill the beans on the project, he did reveal that the film is set to release around Eid-ul-Fitr 2020.
There weren’t many details the director could reveal as the film is untitled. The cast of the film has also not been disclosed.

With IMGC aiming to release five films in 2020, who are the other four directors helming their projects? Rumor has it IMGC will also be producing Yasir Nawaz’s 2020 project.
The Wrong No. director brushed aside the rumors saying an agreement has not been signed yet.
Next year will be a big year for Pakistan’s contemporary cinema. With the Bollywood ban, the industry received the breather it needed to catch up.
