We’ve all been there. Coming out of the airport, misplacing our belongings during check out and panicking instantly. Even celebrities and sports icons are guilty of the same. Take for instance, Wasim Akram, the Pakistani fast bowler who had a rather torrid time of late with Emirates Airline. The Pakistani legend just lost his precious watch.
The veteran fast bowler took to Twitter to express his anguish over losing a ‘family heirloom’. He put forth details of his flight as well as the seat number. Akram tagged the international airline in his tweet to establish communication with its customer service points, but was not satisfied with their course of action.
The Pakistani legend took to Twitter and wrote,
“Lost my watch on flight EK 605 seat 10a KHI-DXB. I am now following @emirates. Please have someone contact me ASAP as I have exercised all customer service points in Dubai and do not feel comfortable that enough has been done. This watch is a family heirloom #LostMyWatch”

The help desk at the Emirates Airlines did not let Wasim Akram’s query unattended. They reverted and wrote back to Akram saying,

While this was going on, the Twitterverse saw the funny side of this situation and made some hilarious suggestions for the legendary speedster. Some of the supporters even offered to buy Wasim another watch, while some made fun of the legend’s use of the word ‘family heirloom’ for the misplaced item.

So far, Wasim’s precious heirloom has not yet been found. The investigation is ongoing. Let’s hope he finds his watch and learns something from this experience and not lose another precious family heirloom!
