After the success of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and Prime Video-backed Mirzapur 1 and 2 the rumors are on the way that this web series will now be presented as a full-length film. The discussions are underway according to the Indian media outlet Pinkvilla.

The world of Mirzapur has fascinated the audience, and there is a lot of scope in terms of characters and parallel plots to be developed into other content formats besides the existing web series structure. The conversation to make Mirzapur into a film has recently begun among the makers, and are developing an idea that would entertain the audience. Once that is locked, they will get into the logistics. However, it is certain that they do want to present Mirzapur as a movie as well.
The creative brains behind the project are determined to create an enjoyable cinematic experience that will captivate the audience, even though the concept for the movie is still in its early phases of development. The production will start working on the practical requirements of making the movie once the concept has been decided upon.
The first season was unveiled in November 2018 and immediately grabbed eyeballs. They followed it up with season two which was released in the latter half of 2020, and the makers are now gearing up for Mirzapur 3 which has been completely shot and is presently in the post-production stage.
Mirzapur 1 and 2 were headlined by Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, among many others.
A crime thriller called Mirzapur is set in rural India. In contrast to Pankaj Tripathi’s portrayal of a mafia, Ali plays a bodybuilder-turned-don who has vowed to destroy Kaleen’s company. Rasika Dugal portrays Beena, the husband of actor Divyendu Sharma’s character Munna, who is Kaleen’s son. Golu Gupta is a character played by Shweta Tripathi Sharma who teams up with Guddu to fight Kaleen.
Sharad Shukla saved Kaleen at the end of Mirzapur 2 after he was shot and Munna was dead. Even if Guddu and Golu’s games of vengeance continue, it is believed that Kaleen will hand over control to Sharad in Munna’s absence in the future season.
