Wedding Shoot at Baba Farid-ud-Din’s Shrine Raises Eyebrows

Three police officers were dismissed.

A video of the newlywed couple went viral recently for all the wrong reasons. The duo was spotted doing the photoshoot at the shrine of Baba Fareed-ud-Din in Pakpatan, Punjab. As soon as the video went viral all over the internet, the religious affairs ministry took serious action and fired the concerned employees.

Here is the video below,

The bride can be seen twirling clad in white festive attire and a cameraman is seen shooting the video.

The FIRs have been filed against the three people including the cameraman, an unknown groom, and the bride. Three police officers including the inspector have been fired for their negligence.

This is not the first time religious places have become a site for photoshoots. Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar also came under the radar for disrespecting the historical Wazir Khan Mosque for shooting a music video on the premises.

And just recently, the high-end fashion brand Maria B was also slammed by social media users for shooting their summer lawn collection of 2023 at a graveyard in Bahawalpur. A social media user going by the name of Chang Khan, a member of the Abbasi family, criticized the designer for shooting in their ancestral graveyard without seeking any prior approval.

Following the social media backlash, Maria B apologized and deleted the video of the shoot from her official Instagram account.
