A lot of people grew up watching Pakistan Television drama serials. PTV classics have a cult following and stars of that era are revered even today. But have you wondered what happened to the child stars from that era?
While PTV artists are now veterans in the biz, PTV child stars would now be of the perfect age to be cast as leads. So where are they now?
Maybe the reason we missed PTV child stars staring us square in the face is that their looks have evolved with age.
Ali Kazmi
Did you know Ali Kazmi is the tween from ‘Zikr Hai Kai Saal Ka‘. Wow, that kid is now blowing us away with his performance in dramas like Jackson Height, Tu Ishq Hai, Baaghi, etc
As well as in films such as Dobara Phir Se, Laal Kabotaar, Baaji, Superstar, etc.
It’s unbelievable how far he has come, and we are always super excited to see where he will go next.

Kunwar Ali Nafees
This kid from Aanch was also cast in ARY ‘Riyasat‘, as well as Dil Ki Madham Boliyan and Mar Jayein Bhi Tou Kya, to name a few. He also has a supporting role in Zindagi Gulzar Hai and he voiced Ibrahim Pasha on the Urdu-dubbed version of Turkish serial Mera Sultan.
Nafees has gotten even more talented with time.
Faysal Quraishi
This child star has come a long way from Andhera Ujala. Now he’s in just about any and every notable television drama series we can think of. Not to mention his much-awaited web series Badshah Begum.
We’ve seen him grow through all these years, and it is heartwarming to be on this journey with him.
Raza Zaidi
This star child from Khala Kalsoom Ka Kunba (2000) is in a number of drama serials including Muhabbat Jaye Bhar Me, Burns Road Ki Nelofar, etc. We couldn’t tell because the neighborhood clown is all grown-up after puberty hit.
We can’t deny that he is still as adorable as he was as a child star.
Syed Faisal Bilal
This is the artist that played ‘Jibran’ in Ankahi. He barely looks like the chirpy child we remember from Ankahi. This artist quit the biz for the novelties of a normal life. He’s even married now.

PTV Child Stars From Ainak Wala Jin
Remember this adventurous duo from Ainak Wala Jin. Unfortunately, we can’t recall the names of these artists. Does anyone remember seeing them in any other drama serials? These two just went AWOL.
We wonder what happened…
Sajjid Hassan
It isn’t always happy endings for child stars. Even after leaving the biz, Sajjid Hassan was met with tragedy. He passed away a long time ago in 2007.
His family moved to Houston, Texas back in the 90s and he was enrolled in med-school. He played ‘Kaashi’ in Nijaat and ‘Roshu’ in Kashkol.
