We’ve all heard the go-to patriot anthem ‘Dil Dil Pakistan‘. We also know that Junaid Jamshed’s vocals are synonymous with this song.
The national song still blares out of every car, headphone, and speakers to this day. It acquires top billing on Pakistan Day, Independence Day, even Defence Day.
While most of us identify this song with the vocalist JJ, the truth is that even the writer and composer deserve credit and recognition for it.
Most people give film-maker Shoaib Mansoor all the credit. The truth is that he just ‘amended’ the lyrics. Just like an editor simply does not take credit for a post, Shoaib wasn’t the one who came up with the whole thing in the first place.
Who is the person we have to thank for this song? It was poet Nisar Nasik who penned the legendary national ballad.
Unfortunately, he breathed his last on July 3, 2019 and in circumstances that should make us hang our heads in shame.

Dil Dil Pakistan Creator’s Struggle With Poverty
Despite having created the biggest teen and patriotic anthem of the 90s, the writer struggled with poverty.
Its not as if this song didn’t make some people very rich. It sounds rather puzzling that the original creator was left out of the fortune Dil Dil Pakistan made.
Today the writer that gave us this iconic national song, Nisar Nasik passed away.
writer of #DilDilPakistan passed away. He died penniless. Considering how much this one song made Why is it that one of the two people who has original right never earned enough from his creation? The writer & composer are recognised as original creators. Hugely exploitive system

Nisar Nasik suffered in poverty towards the end of his life. He never got his share of recognition. In the end, he lost his sight and memory. Yet he still knew the lines to Dil Dil Pakistan by heart.
Nisar Nasik lived in miserable conditions on the outskirts of Rawalpindi.
It is said that the composer behind DDP, Nusrat Hussain made Rs 750, because he was considered a part of Vital Signs.
For argument’s sake, some people mention that Nisar actually sold the rights to the song to the band during his time. However, no one knew how big of a song it could prove to be.
One could have expected the authorities or even the music industry to look after this stalwart. That didn’t happen so.
Too Little, Too Late
Pakistan has often left its’ icons behind. This is also true for some icons from the Pakistan Television era.
The government and entertainment world remained ignorant towards the miserable conditions faced by the man behind the cultural icon ‘Zakoota Jin.’ Artist Matloob-ur-Rehman died in financial turmoil.
The Ainak Wala Jin star died in Lahore. He had been paralyzed by diabetes in 2012 and could not afford treatment for it.
While Netizens may be outraged now, it really is too little, too late.

Two of the biggest songs #DilDilPakistan and #JazbaJunoon have earned nothing for the writers of the songs. They should have both been recognised as original creators. Would be interesting to see whose name is registered as songwriter in international royalty collection agencies

Even now the indifference is astounding!
writer of the song had sold the rights of the song to the band! which means he got paid regardless how much money the band makes out of that song! happens every where not just in pakistan

What’s more offensive, the indifference or the ignorance?
Nisar Nasiq

Several other artists, singers, and poets have been treated like Nisar. This needs to stop and we need to take better care of our legends.
No, we haven’t open our eyes n will never open in future too cuz we don’t want. The legends die like a street dogs in our country cuz we don’t even know that who the legends are.
Take the biggest example of the history the death of founder of Pakistan even the ambulance which was provided was not up to mark.
Please open your eyes n see what’s going on, we are the best nation people n we have to show this to whole world.
This negligence should be omitted as soon as we miss any of other celebrity. Why we forget the inveterventions importance and obligations of such glants and leave them to die in dark. This oversight indicates the lexity on the part of Government public and the nearby community. Please find your role to puzzle out this adversity.
Inna nillahe wa inna ilahe rajiwoon. Actually He was not a politician nor an army person.. We just remember them and our tv media and social media just cover them.If u have power or money u can survive and u can get position in this country.
