Prime Minister Imran Khan is under public scrutiny after 11 Hazara coal miners were kidnapped and shot in Mach, a town in Bolan district of Balochistan on Sunday.

Taking to his Instagram, he condemned the incident and declared it a ‘cowardly inhumane act of terrorism’ and said that the criminals will be brought to justice.

“The families of the victims will not be left abandoned by the govt,” he added.

Netizens are demanding justice from the state and are criticizing the premier for not dealing with the situation properly. One netizen wrote,

“Tweeting is enough? Why cant you go and console their bleeding souls ? Why can’t you be there and give a strong message to barbarians by condemning this inhuman act standing next to families of victims and assuring them about justice being served?”

PM Imran Khan receives backlash

Shia scholar Allama Syed Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi shared the shared the screenshot of his old tweet which states,

“Tragic news from Quetta. Condemn Lashkar-e-Jhangiv for its genocidal campaign against Shias, especially Hazaras. Where is the state?”
