As Ramzan’s drama ‘Chaudhry & Sons‘ continues to garner love and praise, the show’s writer made an interesting revelation. Did you know she didn’t want to cast Imran Ashraf?
Suno Chanda famed writer Saima Akram Chaudhry, recently revealed that she did not intend to cast Ranjha Ranjha famed actor as ‘Billu Chaudhry’. As always the versatile artist made the character his own, and we can’t imagine someone else essaying the role.
He brought Billu Chaudhry to life as a fun and vibrant character. But we’re curious, who did the writer envision in the role? Just not ‘Moosa’ or ‘Wali’.
In an interview with Fuchsia, the scriptwriter revealed that she did not want to cast Imran as Billu as she was imagining him as Moosa from Raqs-e-Bismil or Wali from Badzaat.
However, later when Imran Ashraf brought the character to life, she was super impressed later with how he changed everything from his wardrobe, as well as added those rap songs which Billu sings in many scenes. His dedication and commitment has made Billu another beloved character.
Saima Akram Chaudhry is somewhat becoming a name synonymous with great Ramzan dramas. She has delivered several hit drama serials over the past few Ramadan seasons. From projects like Suno Chanda, Chupke Chupke, and Ishq Jalebi to her name, this year there were many expectations from Hum Tum and Chaudhry & Sons.
