Will Steve Carell Do The Office Reboot or Not?

Not taking a ‘no’ for an answer

Those of us who are The Office fans are really looking forward to the a reboot of the series. If there is one that is.

Time and again the idea of The Office reboot keeps on getting traction, only to be shot down. This time around, Steve Carell himself added fuel to the fire, and we don’t know where its going.

In an episode of Saturday Night Live the cast of The Office graced the studio. Of course, they had to face that one question (ok make that two) that needs answering – when’s the reboot coming, and why Steve keeps refusing the prospect of doing one.

Carell listed time constraints as his reason for not wanting to do a reboot. Its not that he loves doing rom-coms more. Of course he loves The Office more, and we still have hope.

Carell said that people wouldn’t love what the series had to offer 10 years later because the series was meant for that decade. Wow! Who though 2005-2013 was that long ago right?

It Wont Be Special If We Did It Again

Steve even thinks that a reboot would take away from the series, that it wouldn’t be special anymore. To which Kennan from Kennan and Keith told him that he got it all wrong and doing a reboot would be an honor.

While his former cast mates urged Steve to take up the offer, his wife and kids also pitched in. They seemed more enthused at the idea of Steve doing the reboot than him being at home. Quality family time goals right there, doing a reboot.

Well that excuse of spending more time with the family is also gone now, so what is Steve’s next move? In the end when we think he have him cornered he says ‘I’m glad to announce….this is the best show ever!’

Still not taking that as a no Steve.
