The poster for Yasir Hussain’s Javed Iqbal biopic is out and it is chilling. The actor looks unrecognizable in this avatar for Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of A Serial Killer.
The film’s first poster features Yasir Hussain as the horrific serial killer, Iqbal. The Bandi actor took to his Instagram to share the movie’s first poster, with his first look as the notorious convict. He captioned the post;
“Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of A Serial Killer, coming soon!”
Recently word got out that Yasir Hussain and Ayesha Omar would be starring in a biopic film about the serial killer.
The film titled, Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of A Serial Killer cast Ayesha Omar in the role of a police officer, who will head the investigation against Iqbal. The Bulbulay star shared how the role will definitely be a challenge but she’s looking forward to it.
Abu Aleeha wrote the film and also directed the project. The movie is being produced under the banner of KKFilms by Javed Ahmed.
About Javed Iqbal
Javed Iqbal is the most horrific serial killer recorded in Pakistani history. He sexually abused and killed over 100 children between 1998 and 1999.
He brutally violated the victims by raping, and strangling his victims. Followed by dismembering their corpses and dissolved them in acid to conceal the evidence. When he was apprehended, tried and found guilty, Iqbal was sentenced to death in the same manner that he killed the boys.
He later killed himself in prison before his sentence could be carried out.
At the time, Moinuddin Haider, then interior minister of Pakistan had stated that such a punishment would not be allowed.
