Yumna Zaidi, an emerging talent on the Pakistani showbiz industry, has made her mark with stellar performances in Mausam, Guzaarish, Zara Yaad Kar and various other dramas.
She was recently honored for her performance in “Dar Si Jati Hai Sila” with an Hum Award. Quite taken aback by the honor, Yumna burst with emotion after receiving the reward.
A great performance for Dar Si Jati Hai Sila
The captivating drama is based on real-life situations. It deals with the disgusting underbelly of abuse victims, how their experiences are hushed under the rug, while the perpetrator carries on with their crimes.
Yumna Zaidi plays the character of Sila who is subjected to a number of horrific abuses by Joi (Jawad) played by Noman Aijaz. Noman’s character intimidates anyone who wants to expose his crafty and evil shenanigans.

Coming back to the awards ceremony, Yumna gave a heartfelt statement:
“I just want to say thank you to my God who gave me the strength to work. I also want to thank Hum television, Momina Duraid for considering me for good projects. Thanks to my brother to believe in me, also my mother who is sitting in the audience. Thanks to my family, I lost my father three months ago it was my last serial he watched.”
