ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday approved the revised layout design of sectors located on the Northern Strip, E-11, and C-14.
As per the details, several agenda issues were discussed by the CDA board in the meeting presided over by Chairman Mohammad Usman.
The board approved the revision to the E-11 Northern Strip’s layout plan, allowing 103 commercial and apartment plots on a location formerly earmarked for high-rise apartments.
Besides, the board members also made it mandatory that laws in place for the Marakiz of Islamabad, should be implemented under the revised layout plans.
According to sources at CDA, E-11 is a rapidly growing sector with the potential to produce more than Rs. 40 billion, revealing that the civic body was likely to auction off the first batch of the plots in the next auction.
Similarly, the board accepted a revised layout plan for C-14, increasing the number of 50×90 plots from 542 to 601 while also approving the auction of a property in F-5 for the construction of a five-star hotel adjacent to the Marriott Hotel.
The officials of the CDA also reiterated that commercial activity and housing projects would be prohibited in Zone- III to preserve the capital’s natural aesthetics.
Development work in sectors E-12 and D-13 is equally important besides other sectors like E-11 and C-14 to accommodate the people who have been allotted their plots since long as well as the rising demand of housing in capital.
On the other hand, the development of sectors C-15 and C-16 is also very important. This will make the capital beautiful with plants and beautiful houses on the side of Margalla Avenue.
