LAHORE: On Wednesday, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) initiated an anti-encroachment operation into the illegal buildings in the housing society owned by Aleem Khan.
As per the details, the state property on which Park View City had been encroaching was reclaimed by an ACE team, district administration, and police officers while a lawsuit was filed against the accused, and the illegal structures were also dismantled.
The sources informed that Aleem was allegedly “facing multiple inquiries including, the erection of his father’s grave on 2.5 Kanal of reserve LDA property in the Riverage Society and conspiring with the company’s chairman to defraud investors in the EOBI scam.”
According to the senior minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, Aleem made billions of rupees by selling files to residents in this Park View City, adding that he had also occupied land belonging to a school on Burki Road, and had illegally incorporated Shahpur Kanjran Road into his society.
The minister claimed that Aleem had also turned over 13.5 Kanal of property to create commercial plots, designated for a cemetery.
Besides, the ACE spokesperson added that the land-grabbers would be vigorously confronted under the direction of ACE Director Nadeem Sarwar.
He added that since the construction was being done on state property by the Park View housing society, the district administration team of ACE, led by AC City and SP Saddar, initiated the operation to stop it.
It is relevant to mention here that previously, the ACE had lodged an FIR against former PTI leader Aleem Khan for selling government-owned land using fake documents.
