ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Captain (r) Noorul Amin Mengal, held a meeting with CDA officers to issue directives for the removal of barriers to the timely completion of development projects.
He also emphasized the need to ensure the provision of adequate and safe water to residents of the federal capital.
According to details, upon the orders of the chairman, the enforcement teams, led by DG Enforcement Shahjahan and assisted by the Islamabad administration, demolished dozens of illegal bus stands, and fruit and vegetable stalls along the IJP road.
The Chairman also ordered the clearing of the right-of-way for 11th avenue and directed an operation against land grabbers in the area.
Additionally, the CDA enforcement wing personnel removed vendors from a loop of Khanna Bridge and launched an operation against encroachments in the F-6/4 area.
The officials from the Estate Office also assisted in identifying encroachments in the area, while the DG Enforcement pledged to continue these anti-encroachment operations in line with the Chairman’s vision.

Sir,
Recent drive to demolish the encroachments by CDA chairman is highly appreciated. But if it fails or ended up without achieving the targets it will be only due to the CDA enforcement directorate and its teams.
As an example to be mentioned here is a project of Margalla town Road, which is left uncompleted due to the non action of DG enforcement and his team, while there are clear orders/notification in written from chairman office to clear 100 ft of road to construct specified width of road, drainage & footpaths on both sides as per the bylaws of CDA. A team arrived at the site started to demolish the encroachments, dismantled some small fencings in front of one or two houses and suddenly abolished the action and went back, due to the reason only known to incharge, since then this project is left in the middle of nowhere and despite several requests of residents in person it couldn’t be started again.
Trust, honorable Chairman will take a serious notice of this and will oblige to put his weight to complete this lingering project started in the year of 2020.

With humble request, when will CDA turn it’s eyes on service road west F-11/1 and F-11/2. it’s a 1 km patch in absolutely pathetic condition for years. Please design a mini project not a mega project for this patch and relieve the residents along this road, on urgent basis.

Cda should never be politicized
It is ironic that CDA is conducting this clearing operation but not punishing the facilitators inside CDA with whoms’ connivance, these structures were raised in the first place. Had those haram khoors done their job, for which they were being paid, Chairman CDA could have been able to concentrate his innovate energies on something more useful
