ISLAMABAD: On the orders of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Captain (Retired) Muhammad Usman, the Enforcement Department conducted operations in various areas of Islamabad to retrieve the encroached state land.
As per the details, several encroachments and illegal constructions were demolished with heavy machinery as CDA teams seized approximately ten truckloads of encroached material.
Sources confirmed that these operations started from Sector H-8, close to Shifa Hospital, where dozens of illegally constructed stalls were dismantled and five truckloads of goods were seized. At the same time, the enforcement teams also removed all encroachments from the greenbelt.
The teams then moved to IJP Road close to Turbo CNG where shop owners had blocked the road with their vehicles and were obstructing the free flow of traffic.
Besides, the Enforcement Directorate took legal action against the owners of the showrooms in Sector G-8 and all the cars that had been parked on the walkways were removed.
Similar to this, strict measures were also taken against hotel owners in G-8 Markaz, and teams removed encroachments made by hotel owners by clearing their sit-out areas constructed on state land.
The civic body also took action against the unauthorized use of state property in the Sector I-10/3 auto market.
