CDA Considering to Construct 5km Road in Margalla Hills National Park

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is considering a proposal to construct a new 5-kilometer road in Margalla Hills National Park.

As per the details, the proposed road would run from a popular restaurant to Bari Imam and has raised concerns about the potential impact on the park’s natural environment.

The CDA’s Planning and Engineering Wings will review the proposal before presenting it to the Development Working Party (DWP) for approval.

Margalla Hills National Park has already been adversely affected by the construction of roads, highways, and housing societies, which have threatened the natural environment.

The park has also been littered with waste by recreational visitors, which can harm the health of the park’s wild animals.

The proposal for the new road is yet to be approved, and officials have clarified that a decision will only be taken after a thorough review of the proposal.
