CDA Expedites Work on Expressway Expansion Project

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has started the clearing and grubbing work for the expressway expansion project.

As per the details, a 7-km section will be expanded from the PWD to the Grand Trunk (GT) Road.

The Federal Works Organization (FWO) will start the expansion work right after the clearing and grubbing work is finished.

The project was awarded to FWO against a bid of PKR 11 billion for converting the 2-lane section of the Expressway to four lanes.

The project also includes the Binder bridge, the Japan Road underpass, and the expansion of the Sohan Bridge.

Additionally, the FWO will be assembling the camp office on the site and the machinery will soon be deployed.

Furthermore, the project is expected to complete in a period of 18 months.
