ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced its plans to hold a grand plot auction exclusively for food businesses registered with Pakistan’s Security & Exchange Commission.
This marks the first time that CDA will conduct such an auction.
The plots on offer will be 1 Kanal in size and located on the prestigious Capital Street, styled similarly to popular locations such as City Walk in Dubai and Nizami Street in Baku.
This prime location will be exclusively reserved for food-related businesses such as international food brands, coffee shops, restaurants, and cafes.
Investors who participate in the auction can enjoy the benefit of extending their lease period at DC rates upon completion, which is set at 33 years. To ensure a smooth investment process, the CDA has also set up a support team to assist investors at every step.
Moreover, the CDA has made special provisions for prospective investors, such as taking advance tax on a pro-rata basis and requiring a 25% down payment within 30 days of acceptance.
Additional space for 1 Kanal plot and outdoor dining will also be provided.
The CDA will further streamline the investment process by establishing a special desk to approve building plans within a month. This will help expedite the process for investors and ensure timely approval of building plans.
The auction is scheduled for May 10th, 11th, and 12th at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad.
With this exciting opportunity, the CDA hopes to attract more investment in the food industry and promote economic growth in the country.
Chairman, CDA is initiating marvelous things and starting some unexpected projects nowadays but I will request him to develop some CDA sectors which were announced 15-20 years before such as D13, E12 and C16. This will be a great work for the allottees of these sectors.

Before launching new projects CDA management needs to focus on developing and giving possession of already announced sectors, like, C.16, I.15, Park enclave and provision of facilities, like, gas in Sector I.11 etc as CDA’s clients have been awaiting for the last several years to build their own home.
