Chairman CDA Suspends Assistant Director and Employee Following Theft Complaint

ISLAMABAD: CDA Chairman Captain (r) Noorul Amin Mengal has taken action against two Land Rehabilitation Directorate employees in response to a complaint about a stolen plot file.

The chairman suspended an assistant director and another employee and directed the registration of an FIR against them and a citizen involved in the theft.

During an open court session at the CDA Facilitation Centre on Wednesday, Mengal also reprimanded Director General Enforcement for failing to hand over a plot to an allottee in Sector I-11 and ordered action against encroachers.

Mengal’s weekly open court sessions have been well-received by the public, but some concerns have been raised about the delay or non-implementation of the chairman’s directives on various issues.

For instance, in response to complaints about fraudulent allotments, the chairman ordered the formation of a committee to resolve the issue. However, no necessary action was taken, and a vague office order was issued instead, which did not address the scam.

The victims who purchased the plots have been demanding that their cases be accommodated as they were bona fide purchases, and the original allottees were entitled to affect them.
