DC Islamabad Bans New Allotments in Gulberg Greens, 11 other Housing Societies

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Commissioner Islamabad / Registrar Co-operative Housing Societies Islamabad has issued a notification calling for a complete ban on all new allotments in 12 societies.

According to the details, the authorities have placed a complete ban on 12 cooperative housing societies because of their incomplete layout plan and their non-approval by the CDA and other concerned development authorities.

The notification further states that there would also be a ban on new membership, and the transfer of plots in the said housing societies will also be completely prohibited.

Furthermore, the sale of ready-made houses has also been subject to the approval of the Registrar Cooperative Housing Society.

The housing societies where new allotment has been banned include:

  1. IB Employees Cooperative Housing Society (Incl. Gulberg Greens)
  2. Federal Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  3. Federation of Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  4. Services Cooperative Housing Society
  5. Pakistan Medical Cooperative Housing Society
  6. Islamabad Farming Cooperative Housing Society
  7. NA Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  8. Cabinet Division Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  9. M/O Interior Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  10. Civilian Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  11. Senate Secretariat Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  12. CBR Employees Cooperative Housing Society

  1. He should also ban Bahria enclave, its been a decade that developer has received amount but didnt develop all the plots. Moreover, this developer charge penalties on late payments but there is no compensation on delaying in delivery.

      1. No society is allowed to sell a single plot till the aproval of Layout Plan as well as developmental NOC from CDA have been issued. It must be compulsory for all societies.
        After selling more plots than the actual capacity, they keep on changing the Layout plaans to avoid awarding the possessions. Please keep them abiding the possession according to the time plan. They also required to submit a complete time plan for awarding the physical plots possessions to the allottees. Hopefully things will be better!!!

      1. I think owner of Bahria society maintains good relations with all the stakeholders, no body is looking about his business. Peoples r suffering since long. Initially he delivered the possession of plots in very short time, then after he started socities in all major cities of Pakistan he forgot those persons on whose money he is doing business.

  3. My innocent and gullible countrymen you have still not understood the game plan.
    Such bans and restrictions are used in this country as a tool by all such regulatory authorities to bring the other parties to terms and extract huge amounts for relaxing or lifting the bans. Do you think a poor grade 18/19 DC can dare to fiddle with person like Malik Riaz who can even bribe the wife of a sitting Prime Minister with 5 Crore diamond ring and get his sealed project opened overnight.

  4. Bahria Enclave Islamabad has sold more number of plots than what they have. The Developers have once againn encroached lot of CDA & Forest land, which was earlier retrieved by PTI Interior Minister. Besides massive degradation of mountains, width of perinial nullah have been been reduced. I wonder whether DC sahib will cancel sale/ purchase of plots in this Society as well. That won’t happen for obvious reasons.

Sir I will like to bring your attention all Societies which are expecting in Rawalpindi and Fateh Jang Tehsil are showing that they’re in Islamabad. Sir This very serious issue Please stop them to use Islamabad name. Every society using Islamabad name. Mostly overseas Pakistanis think they’re purchasing Land in Islamabad. When they come back knows that Land is situated in Some Moza far away from road road. Please look in the matterea and stop them Using Islamabad name. Thanks TARIQ

    His orders should be scrutinised immediately, as how and on what basis they want to destroy billions of a common person instead of hiding societies.

    As usual another stupid notification, by an incompetent person without head and tail for this notification.

  7. Yes..it’s a very good decision and can be a source of some relief to many allottees who have not got the possessions of their plots in their relevant societies, yet.

    1. Sorry to say Ms DC ICT. I have been victim of gulberg green 4th file. Serving IB Inspector sold fraud file to me. Since last 3 years dispite all my humble plea he along his dealer starting abusing and theatening me and my family. Gulberg green is total fraud.

  9. Bahria Enclave…where allotees have paid full amount since ages and they are not giving possession as the land is in litigation.
    DC should also give a notice to Bahria Town pvt. Ltd as it is also approved by CDA.

  10. It’s good initiative but need to focus the implementation. The common practice is above all societies provide their bribe in shape of plots and continue enjoy their business. It’s just temporarily and non effect order. Why not suspend their Management need comprehensive exercise and place order of Administrator instead of temp ban. We each society have different scienaro.

  12. Do these housing scheme cares about the imposed ban? Hype is created, issue is raised but later dropped due to influence. Monitoring is essential.

  13. Who at about the CDA own regular sector. Like E- 12 . After 30 years it’s still not handover to their rightful owners. ?

    1. basically cda is big Mafia why you dont give noc and lop many socites submit all legal papers and also constructed by laws of cda this is not fair bcz in these socites gov employs plots so why all these illegal restrictions on all projects

  14. What about the regular sectors of CDA E- 12 . After 30 years of waiting still not been hand over to the rightful owners . ? When shall we except , there is no update from CDA.

    1. What about the regular sector of G-14/1 and 2 where there is no development. The contractor is not developing the sectors even after getting contract of development. No work in G-15/3 for the effectees and G14/2. Action need to be taken for this also

  15. Action should be taken against Bahria Enclave as well because they have not delivered plots to original allotees after 10 years and keep offering new deals to their dealer network.

  16. He should Ban FIA society too as premier investigation agency is involved in real estate business which is not allowed in any part of the world as per constitution.Furthermore action should be taken against demolishing of ghauri town

  17. The CDA has been neglecting the development of Sector E. 12 for 30 yrs. Who will penalize the CDA for abnormal delay. Now the cost of construction has increased manifold so the CDA should not develop this,sector forthwith but should also bear construction cost.

  18. Why there is ban on transfer of plot? What is the logic behind the game. Just general public will suffer from this decision. As per CDA website LOP is approved from them. If the LOP wasn’t approved why CDA didn’t mention this thing on its website and why CDA didn’t cancel the NOC in the first go.

  22. The honorable DC Islamabad is very humbly requested to take very serious development issues faced by the allottees in Engineer’s Housing Scheme in CDA sector D 16/17. The owner of the society is Engr Arif Sheikh. We have paid complete cost of land since 2005. Arif Sheikh has done absolutely nothing even to approve the plan. Some unfortunate allottees have died waiting for the scheme to Materialiser.

  26. Doesn’t make any sense. People have done investment for more than 20 years and now DC is stopping sales and purchased. What they have done for last 20 years. Why district administration was sleeping for these years. How many responsible persons are behind the bars. It is nonsense to start acting like this after 20 years. District administration is hired for betterment not for creating harms in the lives of citizens.

  27. Please check university town,they were supposed to handover plots in 2016 but till date there is still no sign of delivery of plots.all dues cleared in 2016

Beside all the mentioned societies, JKHS is another one require diligent attention, where plot owners of F-16/2 have invested their fortunes since a long time, however corrupt committee members come and complete their term without doing anything for the plot owners. Despite full payments, the land could not yet be aquired, hence, no development work could be started. Strict action against the mafia is requested from the authorities.

  29. University town Islamabad ine the oldest private housing society since 1992. No development no development taking place but keep on expanding and making more money. They keep on sending threating letters and cancellation of plots. These projects are for middle class citizens who can’t afford to buy under CDA sector (rich and powerful person) RDA authority should take necessary action. Normal allottee can’t complain they will cancel the plot

  30. This is good decision but not only in Islamabad it should be implemented all over Pakistan.Pakistan is agricultural country we cant afford to use all that land to make housing society it’s so lame. Land should be used to make new industries etc

  31. G 16 ministry of interiors sector 1 and 2 they did not have acquired a land and billions of ruppees have been gathered and managament has fixed this amount in bank and getting profits and dividing amongst them .. decades passed but there is no sign of land . Bloody cheaters

  32. The same ban should be aply to on those plots owners who kept undeveloped for long time and the socities look incomplete n abundonded with rough n tough empty n filling plots sel grown plants made jungle n therr is no attention giveing nor any notices served yet.

Armour Colony No.1 Manki Road Nowshera (ASC) and the othe adjacent Armour Colnoy AC Colony plot sold out without any further development dumped land occupied somens should be served to all those owners if they not interested to develop legally action should be taken and cancell theirs titleahip.

    1. Gulberg Residencia has yet to develop many of it’s blocks. One of the blocks ‘P’ has turned such a giant block after acquiring swaths of land that it had to be divided in p1, p2, p3 and P4 but there is little development visible on ground there nor is there chance of any timeline of development being met by the society to the detriment of allotees who have been waiting for possession of their plots in order for them to start construction of their homes. DC must come to rescue of allotees and get the CDA timeline implemented from the Society.

    Dha is goin to announce dha 9 in under 2 months…file of 1K is going to be announced at 1.5cr plus for sure as dha has decided this in a meeting with current developers(Us)…So rite now we are demanding this 1Cr per file but this file will be more then 1.75cr for sure in under 75 days and if that is not the case we are liable to pay half of every onnes invested amount that much confidence we av on us….grab it asap as the prices are goin up day by day….clock is ticking….
