DG MDA Takes Action Against 11 Officials Over Embezzlement

MULTAN: The Director General Multan Development Authority (MDA), Qaisar Saleem, has taken action against 11 officials over embezzlement under PEEDA (Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability) Act 2006.

According to the details, the officials approved the building maps with fake stamps of various registered architects.

A special inquiry committee was formed, led by the Director of Finance and Administration, Shakir Abbas Buzdar.

After looking closely into the matter, the inquiry Officer Shakir abbas investigated the matter and submitted a detailed report to the DG MDA.

The DG ordered to confiscate one year’s increment of the Director Town Planning Mohsin Raza and Rao Zaka ul Rahman.

Three-year service of the Director Architect Usama Nawaz, who was also involved in the illegal activity, has also been confiscated.

At the same time, one year of service and increment confiscation of Assistant Director Architect Maqbood Ahmed was also ordered by the DG.
