Excise Multan Issues Warning Notices to 37,000 Property Taxpayers

MULTAN: The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Department has issued warning notices to 37,000 property taxpayers across the Multan district, urging them to fulfill their tax obligations.

The issuance of these notices is part of the department’s efforts to achieve property tax targets, with the excise staff acting under the guidance of Director Excise, Iftikhar Ahmad Bhali.

The warning notices have been served in various areas of the walled city, including Kala Mandi, Hussain Agahi Bazaar, Masoom Shah Road, Bosan Road, Abdali Road, and others.

Director of Excise, Iftikhar Ahmad, emphasized the importance of tax payment for the business community, owners of commercial markets and plazas, as well as owners of luxury residences.

He highlighted that 70 percent of the property tax revenue is allocated for local development projects.

Besides, he also urged citizens to ensure timely payment of property taxes to contribute to the development and provision of basic amenities in their city and region, while also avoiding any legal consequences.

Furthermore, Ahmad stated that final warning notices have been issued to the 37,000 taxpayers, and once the deadline expires, a comprehensive operation will be launched against defaulters without any discrimination

  1. Last time my friend settled case for 70k for 300k plus notice. Notice is the legal name of bribe bargaining.

  2. These dogs are not calculating the tax properly, A Property on rent if not exceeding the 300k annual income is exempted of tax but they put on tax to get maximum bribe.
