ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Housing Authority (FGEHA) has granted approximately 1,188 category-I plots in the Park Road Housing Scheme located in Islamabad to be allotted to federal government employees, based on the approved layout plan.
According to a document obtained by APP, the 3.5% quota has been segregated into different categories: constitutional serving (2.5%), constitutional retired (0.5%), and constitutional widows (0.5%), based on age-wise seniority and length of service.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad High Court, Federal Shariat Court, Election Commission of Pakistan, Senate Secretariat, National Assembly Secretariat, Islamic Ideological Council, Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, and Federal Tax Ombudsman Office have reserved plots as per the approved quota policy.
The allocation of plots in the Park Road Housing Scheme will be based on age-wise seniority for the above-mentioned constitutional bodies registered under Membership Drive-II.
The remaining registered members will have the first right of allotment in Sector F-14/F-15, and they will be accommodated in the Park Road Housing Scheme based on the available plots.
The document states that the allotment of Category-I plots to constitutional employees in the Park Road Housing Scheme will take place after the litigation in F-14/F-15 is cleared and the layout plan is finalized.

It will be a right decision to have a plot for retired employees who served the country for decades at a meagre salary. Defence personnels get handsome salaries & fringe & benefits but poor govt.employees live hand to mouth before retirement & in worst situation after it. They deserve to be looked after by the govt & offering them plots to them will be a kind of reward for ther service after retirement. Mind it it nit completely free rather they are required to pah a good amount for the plot in instalments.
