ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges has instructed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the chief commissioner of Islamabad to launch an investigation into the affairs of the Senate Secretariat Employees Cooperative Housing Society (SSECHS).
This decision was made during a meeting chaired by MNA Rana Mohammad Qasim Noon on Tuesday, which addressed various issues, including the SSECHS.
As per the details, the committee has taken action in response to a Question of Privilege raised by MNA Chaudhary Armaghan Subhani regarding the non-delivery of a plot to (Late) Chaudhary Abdul Sattar, a former Federal Minister, by the SSECHS, which has been pending for 37 years.
The committee has directed the DG of FIA, the Chairman of CDA, and the chief commissioner of Islamabad to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
Additionally, the committee has also directed the deputy commissioner to immediately keep all the housing society’s records under his custody.
The committee also discussed the non-maintenance of Parliament Lodges’ kitchen by CDA’s Director and Deputy Director Faiq Ali, following a Question of Privilege raised by MNA Dr. Nafisa Shah.
It was shared that the committee directed the CDA chairman to address the complaints and report to the committee within 15 days.
It also referred various issues, such as poor maintenance and cleanliness arrangements at the lodges and the incomplete construction of a block, to the FIA for further investigation.
Furthermore, the issue of demolishing the old servant quarters of the Parliament Lodges has also been referred to the FIA for investigation and subsequent reporting to the committee.

The standing committee is doing an excellent job. Please extend this policy to general public as well. Thousands of people have been deprived of thier hard earned money. Even the well known housing societies are doing the same for the last many decades, no one is there to ask them

You are right many people are affected by this Ghouri town project since many years and still getting lollipop on daily basis in it’s office
It seems a positive move by FIA. There may be several more non compliant societies in ICT and me being an Overseas worker severely destructed by a CDA approved society named as Alhamra avenue from last 15 years where I purchased 2 plots and it costed me lifetime savings.

I was purchase one plot in Gulberg IB housing society in 2016 passing about seven years society has not develop the till to date. I am pass the time without own House. It is therefore requested to honorable please issue necessary instructions IB housing authority for urgently development plot in Gulberg V Block.
Positive step , DHA valley should also be taken account…. In the same the affectees of model village Chatta bakhtawar , park road Islamabad are waiting anxiously for early development . The chairman CDA 8s requested to pay special attention to this project.
Any new housing society should first purchase and acquire land ……. only then the Govt. should allow them to advertise and sell plots ….
Why DC will keep only record? State pay them for actions and redressel of depraved.
If Public accounts committee is sincere then they should penalize every housing society which grab the poor’s investment
Standing Committee is requested to kindly look into the matter of non delivery of possession of developed plots in Faisal Hills, Faisal Town. Moreover, monetary scam should be addressed at the earliest in launch of Faisal Town Phase-II due to the fact that the private owner has looted money of poor people on account of bookings
Thes so called committees only become active to protect interests of MNAs.
Otherwise thousands of common people have been riped off their hard earned money by private societies and Bahria, and even CDA itself.
But of course this is the fate of common people

Development and possession of plots to the allottees of Block: A (Executive) in the Gulberg Greens (A housing Society governed by IB) is being delayed since its launching day. Neither the society is developing the sector nor they tell the reason for this injustice. May I expect the Standing committees of NA, SENATE, Ministry of Housing, CDA, FIA or any other God fearing agency will look into this issue and get it resolved?
Plz ask DHA Islamabad. 500 people deposited hard earned money in project shop a shop in 2010. Ppl deposited money in DHA account. DHA was responsible to allot the shop in 2012. But till todate nothing has been done. DHA is giving lame excuse of having litigation with contractor. In 14 years they could not resolve their issues. Our children are grown up and we invested money for use it now. A very rudely reply from DHA is to take ur deposited money back with is now nothing due to depreciation.

DC of district are sleeping or supporting the looters, if they were interested they can do it within no time. Rehman Garden Bahawalnagar affestees are just waiting for provision of electricity in the society but builder is not interested to pay for it.

OPF valley Zone 5 Islamabad need immediate attention of Senate and NA standing committee. Development work and possession of plots is pending from the last 26 years. OPF management is ñot sincere or capable to complete the work. Therefore need strong rulings to correct their direction.
