ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has implemented a traffic plan for E-11 due to ongoing construction work for an interchange.
Diversions have been placed at various locations on E-11 to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Outgoing and incoming traffic from E-10 and F-10 can use the main Margalla Road, or can alternatively use the F-10 service road north or E-11 service road east.
Traffic coming from or going to Hyderi Chowk can also use these routes. Traffic coming from E-11 can use E-11 Chowk-2 to enter or exit the sector.
The construction project is being carried out by the National Logistics Cell (NLC) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The project has faced criticism from residents for the deforestation it has caused.
Earlier, the CDA removed mulberry trees in different areas of the capital to prevent pollen allergies.
Poor planning. Timely construction of E 11 inter sector road West could have resolved everything. But then, many skulls in CDA don’t possess brain matter inside
It is a huge project spanning over a year plus, thus bug money and big kick backs cannot be ruled out. Bigger choke point is F9 Chowk in front of Air University cum NDU. Here at E11 Chowk all one needed was a round the clock operating traffic signal only. But my heart aches as beautiful trees have been destroyed by NLC earth moving machine rather than unplugging these trees from roots using big machine CDA bought couple of years back and replanting same elsewhere. Shame on CDA, DC Islamabad and NLC for poor planning and illogical thinking. May Allah grant them wisdom to do the right thing even now
No construction work has started and roads have been closed creating big chaos and mess. Moreover, none of the trees were unplugged using Tree Plugging Machine CDA bought few years back. Infact all trees on Green Patch infront of F10/F11 Park has been destroyed by earth moving machines of NLC. Lastly, presently no need of any Fly Over on E11 Chock, money should have either saved or used elsewhere for better purposes. Shame on CDA thinking. From resident of F10 Sector
There was no need of this flyover. Just a waste of money. And they are so idiots for uprooting the trees. These flyovers and bridges have changed the whole face of my city. Shame
Well explained brother.. CDA guys doesn’t possess brains.. they are only focused on there salaries and earn more by selling the wood rather to plant more trees or save the existing ones. CDA ill planning , greed and lust of kickbags have blind folded the administration , planners etc . May Allah grant them wisdom to do the right things and save the beauty of isloo ameen
We @ D12 are at big mess every morning. We now need to start another 15mins earlier in the morning.
This DCI is another pain, they dont like civilians to pass through their “holy lands”, else, a detour from that side could have saved us from this chaos.
NLC/FWO dont pay commissions to CDA Road department employees, and in response, CDA doesnt pay the bills in time, hence, between the war of 2 giants, resultantly, us poor civilians get messed up.
I’m sure this pain will remain for atleast 1 year.
I used to live abroad, when they would plan such a huge project, they’d first make a temporary carpeted road.
Its always mismanagement by CDA regarding any such kind of project, they must have to replant those trees which they distroy fron E11 green belt (Last monthe they have cut down old trees from E12/3 service roads which is also big slap on the face of CDA management) , shame on CDA Management they easily kill all greenery n on the other side they have posted GREEN ISLAMABAD on 7th Avenue everywhere . our country is already in other crises, our fuel impirt bill is bigger challenge n ITP dont bother to waste thousands of liters of fuel wastage due to closure of E11 main chowk.
Same on CDA/ITP.
They simply dont have brain to work with divotion n sincerity.
They always trying to adopt easy way to work n not bothering about losses.
Hundeeds of trees r lost, Thousand of Liters fuel burnet every day just due to trafic mismanagement by ITP on E11 Chowk.
Why is CDA not building the margalla road as per the original plan? Why is the link from D12 to Bari Imam not being constructed as per original plan? Is it because the holy sectors allocated to Army, Navy and Airforce will finallh be demarcated and they wont be able to encroach on Margalla hills anymore?
Why are poor residents od D12 bearing the brunt of bloody civilians mindset?
12 avenue was more important to connect from D12 to all the way kashmir highway this would have diverted alot of traffic but i guess big boss wants it next to them so its happening.
