PESHAWAR: According to the mayor of Peshawar, Haji Zubair Ali, the staff of the City’s Metropolitan Corporation would receive residential plots as they play a critical role in developing the provincial capital.
He announced this on Monday during an official visit to the local United Municipal Workers office in order to congratulate the newly-elected Chairman of UMW Malik Naveed, General Secretary, and other elected cabinet members.
“Providing housing for Capital Metropolitan personnel was his top priority, and for the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s history, a housing project for them had been authorized,” said the mayor.
He stated that 800 Kanal land would be purchased in two locations; Pir Zakori Bridge and Northern Bypass.
As per the plan, to alleviate an additional burden on the employees, the plot cost would be taken from their housing subsidy.
