KP Gets E-Stamp Paper System in the Province

PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has introduced e-stamp paper to prevent fraud and the sale of fake stamp papers in property dealings.

The chief minister of KP, Mahmood Khan, stated that e-stamp paper aids in settling property disputes and added that since people can now check the stamp paper online, fraud and forgery can be avoided.

He also added that the e-stamp paper would end the practice of issuing stamp papers on older dates.

The details suggest that the process only needs an internet connection and the person is asked to provide information about the area he wishes to purchase in order to purchase high-value non-judicial or judicial stamp papers.

Furthermore, the value of the stamp paper the buyer requires will be determined automatically by the system, and the whole process would take 15 minutes to complete.
