KPCTA Invites Private Sector to Invest in Integrated Tourism Zones

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) invited private companies to invest in integrated tourism zones (ITZs) during a Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry seminar.

This investment aims to create jobs, boost local tourism, and strengthen the province’s economy. The officials at the seminar highlighted many investment opportunities available in the ITZs that the provincial government has approved.

The session’s chair, Shahid Hussain, stressed the importance of improving infrastructure at tourist destinations and providing better facilities to attract more investors.

He also pledged that the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry would work to attract private investment in the ITZs.

Additionally, the Director General of KPCTA, Bakhtiar Khan, discussed the initiatives taken by the KPCTA to improve the tourism sector, particularly in ITZs, and encouraged the members of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and private investors to invest in these zones.

He also invited the business community to attend an upcoming road show organized by the KPCTA in Islamabad on January 19.

A senior official, Umer Khattak, provided information about the ITZs and mentioned that efforts had been made to promote eco-tourism in the province.

The government has prioritized the tourism sector by increasing the budget for its development by 600%.
