LDA Approves New Bridge on PECO Road

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has received approval to build a crossing bridge on PECO Road, as per the directive of Punjab Ombudsman Maj (retd) Azam Suleman Khan.

The project is expected to cost Rs78m and will particularly benefit the elderly, women, and children, as it will provide a safe and convenient means of crossing the busy road that connects the northern and southern parts of the city.

A spokesperson for the Punjab Ombudsman issued a statement on Tuesday, sharing this news.

Furthermore, in response to the Ombudsman’s involvement in a matter of public significance, the Sheikhupura administration has taken steps to increase visitors’ attraction to Ayesha Park.

This includes employing four gardeners and conducting essential maintenance to protect the park’s green surroundings, according to a spokesperson.
