LDA Prioritizes Sustainable Development with New Project Designs

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently held a meeting chaired by the Director General of LDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to review the progress of ongoing and proposed projects in the city.

During the meeting, the redesign of the Akbar Chowk project was discussed, and it was decided that flyovers would be built on both sides instead of underpasses.

This decision was made to ensure that no trees would be cut down during the construction of the project.

Moreover, the meeting also included a detailed discussion on the construction of a new four-lane bridge over the Ravi Bridge, along with the Shahdara Chowk project.

The design of constructing a flyover instead of an underpass at Gulshan Ravi T-Junction was also reviewed. The new design of the projects will minimize the land acquisition and provide more convenience to the citizens.

The decision to construct flyovers instead of underpasses is expected to facilitate smooth traffic flow in the city, particularly at busy intersections.

Notably, the LDA has been actively working on several development projects to enhance the infrastructure of Lahore.

The authority has been striving to provide better facilities and services to the citizens while preserving the natural beauty of the city.
