LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has directed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to start construction on the Band Road T-Junction Project.
The government has released PKR 2.87 billion and asked LDA to grant PKR 1 billion for the project’s first phase.
As per Project Concept-1 (PC-1), the project’s estimated cost is PKR 4.84 billion, out of which PKR 3.87 billion will be set aside for construction while the rest will be for acquiring land and accessory work.
It also disclosed that the project would be completed within 10 months.
It is important to note that the government will also purchase 10.5 Kanal land for this project.
Furthermore, the Band Road T-Junction project was approved with the Samanabad Underpass project that is already being constructed and will aid in traffic congestion.
