LAHORE: In a significant development, a delegation from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) met with Commissioner Lahore and the Director-General of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish a collaborative effort between LUMS and the LDA to enhance land record digitization and implement advanced monitoring techniques.

Under this partnership, the Lahore Development Authority will work in close coordination with LUMS to digitize land records and introduce geo-fencing technology.
By leveraging LUMS’ expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and satellite imaging, the goal is to monitor land use in the market effectively.
The integration of AI, data science, and satellite imagery will enable accurate and real-time monitoring of land usage, ensuring adherence to regulations and detecting any unauthorized activities or encroachments.
This collaboration represents a significant stride towards modernizing land management practices in Lahore.
