LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) announced on Wednesday that it has exonerated Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother, Khawaja Salman Rafique, in the Paragon City case, citing a lack of evidence of corruption.
The NAB returned the case against the Khawaja brothers to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) with the assertion that the Paragon Housing Society project had received approval from Aziz Bhatti Town, not the LDA.
Consequently, the NAB declared that further pursuit of the case was unnecessary and that the matter should be addressed by the LDA as the regulator.
Besides, Accountability Judge Qamaruz Zaman directed the LDA to attend to complaints related to the Paragon Housing Society project.
Moreover, it was also noted that four affected individuals remained, with all others having received plots as a resolution.
