ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Housing and Works held a meeting with the Director General of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) to discuss allotment concerns for plots, flats, and apartments.
As per the details, the FGEHA Chief, Muhammad Junaid Anwar provided an update on current projects and steps taken to address any ongoing issues.
Furthermore, the Estate Office also briefed the committee on the waiting list and category-wise allotments for houses in sectors G-9 and G-10 of Islamabad.
An official informed the legislative body that because the Capital Development Authority (CDA) maintains its pool of housing for its employees, CDA personnel are not eligible to receive accommodations from the Estate Office pool.
Besides, the representatives from the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) and National Construction Limited (NCL) provided an overview of their workings and the progress of ongoing projects in various cities.
The sources stated that the parliamentary body recommended preserving the independent status of National Construction Limited as a national asset.
The meeting was attended by several parliamentarians and senior officers from the Ministry of Housing and Works.
