PESHAWAR: Following a disagreement over the building of the Peshawar Bus Stand, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and Capital Metropolitan Government (CMG) have agreed that the project would be handed over to the latter, subject to CMG covering the costs spent so far.
PDA claimed during a meeting that the provincial government had decided to give them the project, according to sources in the Local Government Department.
According to PDA, it was determined that the bus stop would stay under PDA control until the project’s costs and profits were recovered.
Furthermore, the bus stand would then be turned over to the Capital Metropolitan Government.
The sources confirmed that the PDA had agreed to turn the project over to the CMG if the project’s costs up to that point were reimbursed to the PDA and the Metropolitan Government may then complete the project.
Besides, the Local Government Department obtained the project’s business model from the CMG and instructed the presentation of the whole plan, timeline, and bus stand revenue after which the decision to transfer the project would be made.
