Portal for Remote Verification of Property Ownership in Works

LAHORE: The senior member of the board of revenue (SMBR), Zahid Akhtar Zaman, has stated that a new portal system is being introduced to remotely verify the ownership of a property.

He claimed that ownership and specific sale deeds could be obtained and printed using a mobile device.

As per the details, the SMBR, while presiding over a meeting on the Pulse Project, digital gardawari, and the recently developed portal system, claimed that the Board of Revenue’s new portal system would protect citizens from fraud.

He added that the record of residents who mortgage their property would also be available on the site, along with other information on the acquisition and sale of the property.

The SMBR said that the rent deed would also be recorded on the portal, and previous information on the rented property could also be viewed, indicating which building or house had been rented to which tenant in the past.

He said that districts that did not complete the digital gardawri process would receive notices, and gave directives to the departments in charge of the 16 districts that had completed less than 90% of their digital gardawari.

Zahid further claimed that the creation of rural revenue centers was an initiative that had been helping locals, adding that, guards, other employees, and chowkidars would be hired for the rural revenue centers in an attempt to modernize the Board of Revenue.
