ISLAMABAD: PM Shahbaz has launched a new project to connect more sectors of Islamabad with the Metro Bus system to facilitate citizens in their everyday commute.
According to details shared by the PM Office, commuters from various sectors of Islamabad will be connected to the central metro bus station via ‘feeder routes’.
The first phase of the project, slated for completion by the first quarter of 2023, will see the completion of feeder network comprising 13 routes with 128 buses.
Under the new project, Islamabad’s sectors F, G, I, and D-12 will be connected with the Metro Bus system, easing everyday commute for the residents of these vicinities.
“These feeder routes will provide comfortable and international standard travel facilities to around 100,000 commuters,” said the PMO.
The PM Office also said that the prime minister had directed the authorities to complete the project on a priority basis.
Appreciated. Such development is the need of the hour. D-12 sector is under developed and not connected with any existing bus/wagon route.
