LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, paid a visit to the Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) one-window cell on Tuesday, where he interacted with visitors to inquire about the progress of their applications.
During these interactions, citizens raised concerns about delays in processing their applications.
In response, the CM promptly engaged with relevant officials, directing them to ensure the prompt resolution of pending applications.
Demonstrating his commitment to addressing citizen grievances, Naqvi took immediate action to resolve complaints on the spot.
He announced that No Objection Certificates (NOCs) would be provided to senior citizens at their homes without any delays.
Furthermore, he revealed plans to establish an efficient system for delivering complete documents directly to other citizens at their doorstep, enhancing convenience.
Recognizing the importance of assisting overseas Pakistanis, the CM instructed the head of the one-window cell to address complaints from abroad within ten days, reducing the previous two-week waiting period.
During the visit, citizens also expressed concerns about the inconvenience of multiple visits to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) office for verification purposes.
The CM assured citizens of his intention to collaborate with the federal government to set up an FBR counter within the LDA One-Window Cell, streamlining the verification process and saving people from multiple visits.
To improve citizen accessibility, he also highlighted that the operational hours of the one-window cell have been extended and the facility now operates in two shifts, providing services until 9:00 pm.
