RAWALPINDI: The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Punjab (HUDP), Sajid Zafar Dall, has expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the Safe City Project in combating crime in Rawalpindi City.
During a recent visit to various areas of the city, including Kutchery Chowk, Peshawar Road, IGP Road, Pirwadhai, and Liaquat Bagh, the secretary was accompanied by Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Liaquat Ali Chatta, and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khurram Ali.
The purpose of the visit was to review the progress of the Safe City project and assess its impact on improving the security situation in Rawalpindi.
Furthermore, the secretary also received a briefing on the project, emphasizing its ability to enhance the citizens’ sense of security.
Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta highlighted the necessity of utilizing technology to enhance security measures.
He stated that the Safe City project is set to launch in Rawalpindi and Murree, aiming to improve the overall law and order situation and ensure public safety.
The administration is fully committed to the successful implementation of the project, utilizing all available resources for the safety and protection of the citizens.
