Rawalpindi Police Launches Operation Against Land Grabbers

RAWALPINDI: According to a police spokesperson, on Monday, authorities began an operation against the Qabza mafia in the Rajar neighborhood of Chontra.

As per the details, during the operation, police also demolished camps that had been erected unlawfully by the land grabbers.

The operation included participation from the police commandos, law enforcement agencies, district administration, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), and others.

There would be no tolerance for land grabbers, according to CPO Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari of the city police who also ordered SP Saddar Bilal Mahmood Silhari to oversee the operation against the mafia.

The CPO stated that the police operation in Rawalpindi against the mafia would continue without any restrictions and no one would be permitted to go against the law.

Recently, the CPO reported that 17 search operations had been carried out by the police in the Chontra and Chakri regions.

He asserted that 730 suspects were detained, 350 charges were registered during the search operations, and 350 cases against the occupation mafia and illegal housing societies in Blue World City were lodged.
