RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation has asked the consultant, Mott MacDonald Pakistan Private Limited, to carry out a traffic survey of 20 roads and squares in Rawalpindi.
As per the details, the consultant has sought the assistance of the traffic police in conducting the study as part of the Rawalpindi Master Plan project.
The roads and squares have been identified after a thorough discussion, and the consultant will soon finalize the areas for the study.
An RDA spokesperson stated that the entry and exit points of the city will be evaluated to gather information on public transport and vehicles.
It is important to mention that the work on the master plan has already begun, and in the first phase, the collection of traffic and road data will be completed.
Additionally, the garrison city is facing four major traffic problems including a lack of parking space, encroachments, poor traffic management, and unplanned public transport.
The traffic management and transportation studies are considered crucial components of the master plan and the surveys will help assess the traffic patterns and loads.
Furthermore, the city will be divided into zones for residential, commercial, green areas, and industry once the master plan is complete.

Also make it sure that the army n agencies may exit from this metropolitan as early as possible n confined them in allocated E series sectors of your so called capital city .
Construction of by-pass, re-designing of DHA round about and removal of schools situated on the road. I am a residential of Bahria Town Islamabad. On can see what happens on GT Road at the school timings.

Traffic police to please educate drivers on Adyala Road how to drive vehicle. Each duffer is driving on extreme central line this no one can cross them as vehicle coming from other side is also touching that central diversion. Every one claims his right to drive while touching that central line. If some one want to cross them he should go from wrong side. Traffic wardons busy in issuance of challans to those vehicles loaded with vegetables entering city. It is assumed that the only duty of traffic wardons is to stop these vegetables loaded vehicles.
Yeh Kam koi imaandar ghairat man officer ya woh officer kar sakta ha jis ko koi kickbacks mil Raha ha ho.

Rawalpindi Ring Road Required
Dense population in old City of Rawalpindi (Raja bazar, towards committee chowk) gujnmanfi towards peer wadhai, gujnmanfi towards saddar) must be monitored and address due to anaaj Mandi, Goods forwarder transpor, lundda bazar activity center of roads etc. All these factors contributing traffic jams. Unplanned vehicle routes, traffic need to be addressable in required study conditions
Kurri Road from Islamabad to Naz cinema it can be used as substitute of Murree Road. Its width is about 50 feet in papers. Due to encroachment it is now 30 to 25 feet due to which traffic is often blocked.
Due to nonavailability of traffic police inspector at Sahe choke Kurri Road traffic is often blocked more than a hour at evening time after office closing hours. Due to people and patient suffer. it is requested to depute a traffic police officer to control the traffic and it’s management.
