RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against site offices of 4 illegal housing schemes.
As per the details, the operation resulted in the demolition of site offices, boundary walls, roads, footpaths, guard rooms, and main gates of four illegal housing schemes, namely Century Town, Countryside Farms, High Capital City, and Shaheen Gardens.
According to RDA sources, the enforcement squad, including the charge/Assistant Director of Building Control, Deputy in charge, Superintendent Scheme, and others, conducted the operation.
Besides, the RDA has also issued notices to the owners of these illegal housing schemes.
The RDA advised the general public not to invest in illegal and unauthorized housing schemes and to check the status of housing projects before investing on the RDA’s official website.
Moreover, the department had requested departments such as Islamabad Electric Supply Company, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd, and PTCL not to extend their services to illegal housing schemes.
The details also suggest that the RDA will hold a public hearing to finalize the Peri-Urban Structure Plan and Site Development Zone on April 10 in the office of Assistant Commissioner Gujar Khan.
