RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority has lodged FIRs against the owners of 5 illegal housing societies.
The action was taken on the directions of Chairman RDA, Tariq Mehmood, and the Director General RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa.
An RDA spokesperson has stated that the authority has already been taking strict action against the unapproved housing schemes and has also warned the citizens not to invest in such projects.
The FIRs have been lodged against the owners of the following societies.
- Mivida City
- Abdullah City
- Budget Agro Farms
- Countryside Farms
- Kalyam City
He also shared that there are societies that are promoting their projects illegally on social media even after the restrictions of RDA.
The spokesperson added that these societies had been misleading the general public through advertisements and therefore should be reported to the concerned authorities.
It is important to mention that the legality of the societies and NOC status can be seen on the RDA’s official website.
The RDA official has also advised that whoever is planning to invest in a housing scheme should always check whether the project is approved or not before making any payments.
Please confirm the status of “Green Lake City” housing society, located at Chak Beli Khan Road, Rawalpindi as they are advertising in social media for sale of “Form Houses” of 4, 6 & 8 Kanaks in this priject.
I think they have. Not yet registered with any of authority.

Plz Taj residencia waloon si bachain. They r doing fruads. Plz avoid purchasing plots.
My experience has taught me not to invest in societies selling so called plots on installments on years and years planning.
Plot is what, which is available on full payment and transferable and most importantly ready for construction.
Societies are now a days became so fraudulent and notorious for frauds that no one can trust anymore even dealers are not sure about the future of society.
So please beware of this and don’t invest your precious money for short term gains like file tradings.
