RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against five illegal housing schemes following the directives of Director General (DG) Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa.
The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of RDA issued notices to the owners of the unauthorized schemes located in different areas of Rawalpindi.
The DG has advised citizens not to invest in unapproved projects and instructed the authorities to take strict action against illegal housing schemes and their marketing.
The RDA spokesperson stated that FIRs would be lodged against the violators of the rules. The RDA has also requested the Cyber Crime Wing of FIA to take legal action against the illegal advertisements of these schemes.
The Planning Wing of RDA has urged the public to check the status of housing schemes at RDA’s official website before investing in any project.
The RDA has warned that its ongoing operation against illegal housing schemes would continue without any discrimination.
Here are the names of the five illegal housing schemes that have been issued notices by RDA:
- Green Lake City at Dhoke Bhaia Rawat
- Safanza New Era at Ralla Gujrain Chak Beli Khan Road
- Royal Ghar (Apna Ghar) at Mouza Paryal Chak Beli Khan Road
- New Iqra City at Mouza Dheri Jorian, Rawat Rawalpindi
- Hoon Farm House at Mouza Adyala Road Rawalpindi
The RDA spokesperson further stated that the owners and sponsors of illegal housing schemes were deceiving the public through unlawful advertisements. The DG has advised citizens to invest only in authorized projects to avoid financial losses.
Such advertisement should be published on TV all channels, Radio and other social media so that it can reach every investor and house dreamers. this will save thousands of people hard earned money.
