ISLAMABAD: The Metro Bus service from Peshawar Mor to the new Islamabad International Airport (IIA) has been a great relief for the people who earlier had no option but to pay heavy fares charged by private cabs.
However, residents are now urging authorities to build a new station between Golra and the airport.
Currently, there is no Metro Bus station along the 17.6 km stretch, making it difficult for people to use the service.
Though two stations, Top City-1, and Top City-2, were established in 2017, the city has expanded since then, and many prominent housing societies have been developed in the area.
The absence of a station along this stretch is causing serious issues for residents who need to commute to and from the airport.
Urging the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take immediate action, residents are requesting makeshift arrangements be put in place until the actual bus station is functional.
Building a new station is not only essential for the convenience of the public, but it will also bring in revenue for the government, the residents claimed.

CDA is requested to please construct ONE station for Sector G15, H15, F15 and G16 because these Sectors are almost fully developed and people unable to use metro bus because there is no station on motorway link road. Metro bus passes thorough these areas but still people unable to use because of no station. This will definitely facilitate the people as well as also increase revenue.

There is also need of station at Itwar Bazar or Metro Bus Parking Area because Peshawar more is Infront of it actually. They stopped the bus at Faiz Ahmed and again we need another metro bus to go to Peshawar mor.

Its a dire need to setup a additional metro station near top city and mumtaz city..it can facilitate public coming from fathe jhang road and motor way passenger etc .its urgent need and CDA must take it on high priority
