Retail Cement Prices Remain Consistent across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The retail price of cement remained stable across the country for the second consecutive week.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, a slight increase of 0.1 percent was recorded in the southern regions, while prices remained unchanged in the northern regions.

The average price of cement per sack in the northern regions was PKR 1,028 for the week ending January 19, which was the same as the previous week.

The average prices per sack in other northern regions include Islamabad PKR 1,013, Rawalpindi PKR 1,012, Gujranwala PKR 1,040, Lahore PKR 1,068, Faisalabad PKR 1,010, Sargodha PKR 1,010, Multan PKR 1,049, Bahawalpur PKR 1,050, Peshawar PKR 1,020 and Bannu PKR 1,333.

In southern regions, the average price per sack is Karachi PKR 1,029, Hyderabad PKR 1,050, Sukkur PKR 1,150, and Larkana PKR 1,050.

Earlier, it was shared that the country’s cement industry had seen a decline in domestic and export shipments during the first half of the current fiscal year.

As per the details shared by All-Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), cement shipments decreased by 15.55% from December 1 to December 22.
