RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) initiated an awareness campaign to inform residents about cleanliness and waste disposal as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain the city clean and green.
As per the details, RWMC’s communication specialists went door-to-door in the Union Council-77 to emphasize the value of cleanliness, it also provided garbage bags and brochures to locals and kids at several schools in the Gulzar-e-Quaid region.
Furthermore, the teams urged the locals to keep their houses and workplaces dry and clean to prevent mosquito breeding and other insect breeding that might lead to the transmission of several illnesses and ailments.
Additionally, the RWMC teams advised the locals of the company’s helpline, 1139, where they could report concerns, provide comments, and ask any questions concerning garbage collection or cleanliness.
The spokesman of RWMC added that the hygiene of the metro bus service stations was also guaranteed, adding that, the company’s sanitary staff worked hard to maintain the cleanliness of the buses and metro stations to the highest standards possible.
